What does House Sacramento do?
We start by centering ourselves around the values outlined in our platform. From there, we mobilize strategically to make sure local governments in the Sacramento region are doing what they can to say “yes” to more affordable homes and equitable communities.
Where do we work?
Wherever there’s a need for more homes in the Sacramento region, we’re there.
Many of our members live and work in the City of Sacramento, but we are active beyond city limits. We advocate for housing anywhere in the area, from Yolo County in the west to the Sierra foothills in the east.
How do we do it?
We are currently an all-volunteer effort. We have a board of Co-Chairs who are dedicated to the organization, and our members get as involved as they wish. YIMBYs tend to be passionate, but also tend to have full-time jobs. We’re part-time advocates, but full-fledged supporters of more homes.
